I've finished the grunge but the nutmeg (I guess) kind of brushes off. Will this continue to fall off and get on (or stain) my chair where I want to set my grunged pineapple?

Yes, the nutmeg does rub off a bit at first. Then it stays on.

Did this in the 1980s. You can do the same thing with tea. Never put mine in the oven . would let it air dry. Same results.
