Was considering one of these but got a Carisma gt24r instead used but new in box for 120 usd which was a solid deal, i really should have bought one of these sooner. I'm down the line later converting to a buggy, monster truck, or truggy haven't decided yet on that, might keep it as a rally car. Bit longer wheelbase then the mini-z buggy but being brushless out of the box makes it really move. Then I'll focus on larger stuff towards spring & summer as it's pretty good as is for me & where i can run it realistically. Got the Impreza 06 STI & then ordered the 1999 WRC Impreza body a few days later, also got a spare esc/receiver combo on the way for another 20$. In case i accidentally run it into some puddle of water at work that fries it or outdoors later towards the spring when this snow is gone. The Carisma GT24 does 35 km/h on a 2s lipo out of the box which is ridiculously fast for such a small rc. (Ofc do enable the lipo cutoff before that.) But i run it at 50% down in the basement & at work i can open it up more to reach that speed but don't think I've reached it yet due a lack of space & grip lol. Sticking it at 50% there too is better + you get more run time running it ofc at less then full speed. I run it for about 16 - 25 minutes on a 300 mah 2s lipo in the basement which is also pretty cheap to get hold of with how tiny they are + me already having a lipo charger from my wltoys k989 & my bigger brushless e-firestorm helps too.

I have a Carisma with 2s lipo & it's a blast, but not as precise as the Mini Z buggy, but the Z is much slower. My house isn't huge, so I use the Z indoors & the Carisma in the driveway or take it in the car for a quick bash. Both are cool, but I like my Carisma and love the Mini Z. Got the Carisma for 97USD equivalent in Australia, a real bargain! So cheap I also got the Celica rally version too.

@@bijikedelai you said you have the 1/10 and mini 4wd version, the mini version you referring to are those non RC type? Just get this mini z too bro. It’s too cute not to love! I’d love the vintage but those are even more expensive! Would be great if I could get the re-re even. Can’t be buying more now since I still have a super hot shot not assembled, the wife isn’t going to be happy if I get more… 😂

@@uncleraymond yes! i have the mini 4wd of the Optima. so back in 80s to compete with Tamiya, Kyosho partnered with Marui to release a mini 4wd version of their RC. The line was total failure of course and seems like they tried to erase it from history haha, but i think you can still find them in the wild 😅. But yeah, mini z Optima is on my wishlist, might get em someday if i got the budget lol

Nice video; I've subscribed :) Where did you fit the light kit as I can't seem to find where to put the lights? Also, do get the alloy parts you showed as they make it so much nicer. The shock absorbers are definitely worth getting too as they're even smoother.

Hi! Thank you for your support! Actually I wasn't satisfied with how the light kit connect so I'm not using them for the time being until I find a better way. Either that or use the light kit for another MINI-Z! More reason to buy more toys! Haha...

@@uncleraymondI think the idea of more Z's works best :) I started with one & couldn't understand the appeal, now I do & have ended up with 8 (buggy, RWD, Jimny & lifted Jeep, 4 x AWD) plus a GL Racing. Hopefully that's it for now :)

Thanks for the tip! I'm considerably new to MINI-Zs but aren't those LOSI mini T and Bs a different scale from these MINI-Zs? Or are you suggesting I get the LOSIs? Haha...

@@uncleraymond yes a bit larger 1/18th or 16th not all that big but they really get up and move, most people put some ballast weight in them to help them with traction, and to settle down after a jump. Ready to run is close to the price of a mini Z, the pro roller you get a lot of upgrades and you have to go and buy your own electronics and battery. But they are really fun.
