The gel is enough to hold the oil, however, if we added more oil we would most likely need an emulsifier

I think the recipe is off. Look at the Plum Oil and Preservative. Shouldn't the % be different for the Plum Oil and Preservative? The Plum Oil should be 2.33 and the preservative should be 1% of the total recipe.

I like your ideas...but these products should be formulated to 100% using w/w. The loose measurements you are using are more for baking and cannot produce a consistent result. I'd like to see your formulas presented to 100%. This is is how professional cosmetics are made.
