The amount of thought into this lighting setup is insane but definitely pays off. Plus, all that blue and tone in your videos really keeps the focus on your brand. 😅 Smart!
@BrendonKPadjasek2 ай бұрын
Thanks guys! I definitely love that blue light so I try to use it whenever it makes sense. Sometimes I’ve done different colours like green or red, so it’s just key to use that same colour for the shots if that’s what you’re going for Thanks for checking it out!

Thank you for the video, Brendon. Funny enough how different could be people's perspective for some things. I'm not even close a videographer or dude from visuals area, so my main goal in watching playthroughs is education. If i don't understand how something works in the song I'm going on youtube and pray all the gods I know that somebody already did a cover or playthrough. And in my opinion, the most useful angle here is number 3 just because I see all the fretboard and both hands at the same time. I totally understand that any video-related person could piss on my face for these words, but I truly believe that static frame in playthroughs where you could see literally anything happen on the guitar is much better for educational purposes than dynamic frames changing every 1,5 seconds where you don't understand what's happening. Of course, static frame is definitely not dynamic enough and some people even (OMG) could think that it's boring, but are playthroughs supposed to be entertaining or useful for learning? No questions to the technical side, it is impeccable as usual ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@BrendonKPadjasek2 ай бұрын
Great point. It definitely would be most useful to learn the song from a one shot playthrough but I think (and I took this out of the video) most people wouldn’t have the attention span to watch a 1 angle playthrough unless it’s for a song that they love. And most people filming playthroughs id say are indie players and need to keep the attention span for as long as possible I definitely agree with you though
@KaiDown2 ай бұрын
I would personally say playthroughs are supposed to be entertaining rather than educational - if you want to learn to play something, the typical medium would be tabs.
@BrendonKPadjasek2 ай бұрын
@KaiDown good point. That’s definitely where I go first and I watch playthroughs also for entertainment
@Evolji2282 ай бұрын
@@BrendonKPadjasek Yeah, I totally forgot about attention span problem, while it's actually an important problem these days
@Evolji2282 ай бұрын
@@KaiDown Tabs are definitely number one for learning, no questions there. I just also think about how much effort could people make in attempt to create a proper playthrough and how small would be the views because basically people who watch playthroughs are the instrumentalist themselves and couple fans who clicked on a video just because of their curiosity

Hi Brendon! I'm a drummer and i am here to ask you something a little unusual 😅I would like to record a drum cover of STRUCTURES band and the studio where I'm going to record asked me if I had the "STEMS" of the song Alien. Would it be possible to receive for the purpose of a drum cover on KZbin? I realize it's a special request but it would be really nice! 🙏
@BrendonKPadjasek2 ай бұрын
No problem! Sumerian actually sells the Stems for Divided By and LTAW on their site. Simple stems though, Drums, Bass, Guitar, Vocals, Effects without specific files thanks for watching

Would these techniques work on if your using an IPhone to record these types of videos 🤔
@BrendonKPadjasek2 ай бұрын
Absolutely! The only difference is that there won’t be very much of a depth of field effect (where one point is in focus and others are out of focus) I actually have a song on my channel in drop G where I filmed it on my iPhone 13 and I have another video about a DaVinci resolve app that’s free and allows you to get way more quality out of your phone camera. Check those out if you’re interested
