Just thinking aloud.....For anyone that has a cutter such as Silhouette or Cricut machines try those to draw and cut your templates. Be sure to check your cut settings for the materials you will be cutting. Silhouette 4 can cut thicker materials than Silhouette 3. (Cricut users can chime in, because I know nothing about those machines.) If it is safe to use packing tape then I'd think it would be safe to use stencil blanks. Maybe even the thin, inexpensive kitchen cutting mats you find in houseware sections of Dollar Tree, although those might be too thick to stay flat in order to cut the cookie dough, but you might be able to cut stencils from these for baked cookies decorating techniques.

When I laminate I bring them in to an art supply store that has a machine - the seal is always perfect and flat and the plastic sheets come in different thicknesses so you can end up with something pretty sturdy. (And fast and cheap, lol.) I'm now totally obsessed with those pen knives you're using - must buy!

Hi Lialoa, may I ask for making the icing, can we use icing sugar that contains corn flour? I realised the packet I bought from store has this ingredient in it.

Yes! Many powdered sugars contain corn flour - it keeps the sugar from clumping!

I tried to cut my own cookies; the cutting was easy thanks to your tutorial but I noticed the cookie itself was super thick at the bottom. How can you get an even cut from top to bottom? Thank you!

I think that trying to keep the blade straight up and down and just being mindful about the angle of the blade relative to the side of the cookie will help. That's why I use very short cuts -- to keep the angles all straight. :) Good luck!
