Have been handfeeding them. You can begin giving seeds after 1.2 months gently in very small portions in a feeder (they should learn to eat on their own), but continue giving the formula but in smaller amounts as you increase the seed amount to make your budgie interested and start eating seeds. After you see them eating seeds on daily basis everytime, stop giving formula and by 1.5 months they shall start eating normally like an adult

The original parents drowned the first born chick, so I removed the remaining eggs to a broody hen that had laid unfertilized eggs (She does not have a mate). I have Indian Ringneck. Green one. Lately he's been sitting on door from morning when he eats to like 5-6 hours PM until my father comes from job. He sleeps everyday to father's time. Whenever I say to him anything, he like do cute stuff like hes hair gets straight but we find it cute. And he likes when I rap or beatbox. He find it funny and entertaining. He sometimes whistle, but mostly I say to him shhhh to be quiet cuz I watch movie in same room and he wants to outloud volume, and he everyday sleeps like that. Sometimes he goes to kitchen on top of cage to sleep in almost darkness. He likes dark room for sleeping and whistles at us if tv is on so he wants to sleep. I love him so much, but lately Im getting bored of him. Like, hes not interesting anymore. I mean my sister and I lay down on our couch like for 5-6 hours and then father comes to play with him from a job. We give him water from glass because he loves to be like us human. Thats like the only time we actually connect to each other. And later on father goes to pc, mum is also on mobile phone, sister either do school or on mobile phone and on 8 PM I go outside to take a walk. He stays at top of mirror like spiderman and just like if I get close to him, he does like grrrr like you wont tickle me like you used to, because you abandoned me. Like, he doesnt let me touch him, sometimes he does, but thats not feeling I had in beginning. I can touch him for 1-2 min and then got bored and go at bed. He plucks his feathers and im concered. His feathers are falling from air, he just says like ahhhh when he take some feather out. Is he doing it from sadness or like its natural behaviour of changing feathers yearly? Sometimes he whistles and flies over the room from happiness but thats like once in 5 days. Is he depressed? Should I spent more time with him? Hes not showing interest, like hes not interested in listening to youtube music or whisteling birds. Do he have some disease? Hes eating normally. Drinking water daily from glass atleast 3 times. I think he might be a little sad, but we just got bored its hard I mean. How should I approach him even tho I feel I will leave him after 2 mins? What about infection? People say they are water birds. How much often should I bath him? Please help, any good and helpful answer if appreciated. #indianringneck
