This message was deep, powerful, convicting and challenging. I read Jhon 13 many times but the way its been disected in relations to how Jesus models his responsiveness to betrayel left me in awe. The points given were true, factual and biblical. The challenge steps in is putting that into practice. To love and serve someone who has used me, hurt me, betrayed me is so hard and challenging. Pastor Jenkins and first Lady thank you for this message. I have been lisiting to so many of your messages for over a year. A friend sent me a message on KZbin on the spiritual battle. This message was life changing for me. From that point it was addictive. Your God inspired biblical messages has lifted me up in the most lowest and darkest moment of my life and has helped me tremendously to stay faithful and persevere.. Thank you from the bottom of my soul. One question I have in relations to this particular discussion. When someone is betrayed, you have to set healthy boundaries for your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual state of mind. Those boundaries may come across as not loving, it may come across as a callous heart...you have to draw a line. I don't want to be a doormat for my betrayed spouse to keep stepping on me and using my weakness to his advantage because he knows that I am a godly woman. I was hurt and tormented by my supervisor for no reason on my own. I tried over and over to serve this person who also happened to be a classmate from 2nd grade, I then went to them and told them because of my spiritual relationship with Christ, I had to respect the position even though I was angry. This person tormented me as I was going through cancer and the loss of my mom. and would tell me I could come to work after chemo. I applaud you for the forgiveness of your husband's betrayal within two years of the incident.
