As a manifestor w/ the 28th gate expressed, I've learned to accept and even appreciate that part of me. When it's time for me to leave a place or initiate a change for myself, I see it as opening up the space for someone else that resonates more with it to fill my spot. Despite learning to do it with grace, I've come to realize some people will still be pissed off, but that's not for me to fix 🤷‍♀️

I love this topic! In my deconditioning process I find that over time, it is my detriments and 'ugly lines' I end up liking best about me! They fit in with the whole rather nicely.

54 isn't really divine inspiration. It is ambition and can be seen both in the mundane and mystical upward movements. It is a Root energy, without awareness. Inspiration is mainly from the Head Center. Most 54's are only at peace when they're moving up the ladder or have just sold their business for a great deal of money. Ho Ho! :)

I was so intrigued by what Ra said about gate 12 and channel 12-22. My design side has Mercury in 12.4 fixed in detriment. Ra said that it is likely that people with 12.4 in detriment have a speech handicap. They stutter or lisp. "The Voice in the wilderness". When I am nervous about saying something I often stumble over words. Also I sometimes wonder why people talk to me for minutes and minutes (I can be an attentive listener), but as soon as I share a bit of experience, I can feel, they are not listening, and give me a hard time. Are they being egocentric or has it to do with my detriment? Very interesting. Also my mum reminded me a few weeks ago that as a child I had to go to a speech therapy because I was lisping a little bit. "Wow, 12.4 in detriment" I thought. I have 12.5 twice as well, so maybe it counterbalances? Also as a 12 I did have to learn how to breath correctly. In any case my 12-22 channel is what I love the most in my design. Thank you Richard

Yes Cräzington, isn't is incredible how accurate Human Design truly is. You question is too complicated for this medium, but no, the 12.5 doesn't counterbalance the 12.4. It is for you to become aware of externalizing in inappropriate times or around those that are not open to you at that moment. Look closely at your 22 to discover more. ANd yes, I agree with you, I love the 22/12, it opens us up and moves the stagnancy. An amazing energy! :)

Hi Katrina, you are inherently practical as a 5th Line Profile, but you also have to look after you're reputation or as a heretic they'll burn you at the stake. There are better ways to keep warm in the Winter :)

Neptune in 28 - lines 3 (design) and 1 - an appropriate planet to be associated with 'treachery' I guess as is the sign of Scorpio. My teenage son with thespian ambitions is perhaps well suited to gate 4.6 with design Saturn there and his mum has 58.6 south node Capricorn so your overview of these three gates had some pertinence to my life. 28.3 isn't associated directly with treachery. It's Adverturism and the 'risk taker' at it's most chaotic, but also can take the gamble and win. The Lines provide a very specific aspect to our Designs. You can take from what I say generally to be true, i.e. 58 is the Gate of Joy and 4 is the Gate of conceptual answers, but what I said on the Lines does not directly apply to either your son or his mum. Hope that's clarified thing for you Geoff. :)

When I first was introduced to my design, I feel like a winced at a few of them, but now the one that still makes me wince is Gate 22, Line 2 detriment. "Gate 22 Grace - Openness" sounds great, then the 2nd line is called "Charm School: The belief that style can mask nature" and the detriment is in blue: "The legalization of form over substance. Where the style is energized at the expense of awareness." So, lifelong learning about where I employ style to handle a mundane situation in a way that 'de-prioritizes' awareness. I've observed where I 'dress up' myself or my thoughts, words, or actions as a way of navigating a situation that tells me that my awareness isn't going to be received or valued. This creates some abandonment of my authenticity and true self, which I can rationalize at the time, but later have to repair within me. 🤔 Good stuff to contemplate, thank you Richard 🌿

Look at the text I show in the slides and you'll see it above the up and down arrow statements in blue. If there is a blue line (not in the 58.2) then it's a lifelong process of learning.

Could you explain a little about how those Lines behave, in contrast with the Lines where we have both the Detriment and the Exaltation? I have three Gates in my chart (all 3rd Lines) that only have de Detriment. Does it mean that I will only recognize the energy of those Gates on the Detriment side?

Hi Alves, This isn't the place to explain how it works. That's a full session in professional training and one of the most difficulty to understand with three different ways of showing it. Impossible to show without diagrams in a few lines of text. To your second question, yes, you will experience the detriments - BUT if you know what they are, then you can manage them and with the Rave I Ching grasp what the exaltations are, which can be most helpful. As I said in this video, it is there you have work to do. Most of us have work to do in the same way. :)

I'll be back for readings later this year Alves. But, for now, if you notice your behaviour showing the detriment, then note it. Perhaps it can be flipped, perhaps it can't but it may be mitigated with help, as I described in the 58.2. When I say "deal with it" I mean do your best to see the detrimental aspect and consider what could help.

Hi HD, This simply means that you have two aspects of the 3rd Gate. The 3.5 you are aware of, the 3.2 you don't get to know until it shows itself as it's unconscious. But generally speaking, you already know that your life must have the new in it or you will be compelled to bring it in. Me too :)

Hi Tiger, I don't know which Line you are referring to. But if it's Treachery, you can trust that they'll move on if they find something better. Ra Uru Hu said it was his favourite Line. His partner had it. He turned it around and said that since she was with him it was empowering, it meant he was the best she could get! :)
