How to Hard reset Motorola phones - easy method !!

OK so that is not working for me. My phone is o ly two months old, a little less. Today I opened KZbin and it froze, then up popped the "KZbin is not responding, wait, force stop, report. I tapped stop and no response. Locked the screen and unlocked it, only black screen with circle square and triangle on bottom bar. Tried a couple more times of local and unlocking. Tried to restart it using just the power button, instead of giving me the options of power off and restart and whatever the third one is, it went to a black screen with a blue circle in the middle with a black Motorola M and it says powered by Android at the bottom. It won't do a dang thing. The hard restart isn't working. Any ideas?
