Thank you so much. My son's tablet went into "enter password to decrypt storage" and I was going to try taking it all apart and if that failed I was going to chuck it. But I tried your instructions and this fixed it! I had to try it 3-4 times before it kicked into the factory reset screen but that was easier than taking it all apart. Greatly appreciated!!!

I know your comment is 3 years old but yeah he was right, perhaps just a little hard to understand. Power off Hold both volume buttons down and the power button for 5+ seconds, release the power button and you get the boot options. If nothing still pops up just press the volume buttons a couple of times, fixed the issue of nothing showing up for me. Idk, this tablet is pretty shit, sometimes you gotta rejog it's memory :D
