Hi Robert, thank you for your video. I have had trouble harmonising for years. The big thing I took away from your lesson is you have to harmonise diatonically, not from the chromatic intervals, which I had previously been doing to much confusion. Many other videos on KZbin do not mention this. Really enjoy all your lessons, thank you!
@elcora74652 жыл бұрын
what do you mean with diatonically?

awesome, I been wanting to learn how to achieve this sound ever since I heard this technique In the Carcass song Heartwork. Would you by any chance know if they use 3rd s or 5th s in that song or anything else ?

Hi would I be able record melody on one guitar then record using a second guitar retuned to Standard C. Would that be ok for harmonising?

Hello, do you identify the harmonizer effect in the solo of Them Bones? (AIC) Or it doesn't have this effect on your opinion?

Wouldn’t you alternate between major and minor thirds, depending on the scale degree?
@brianbianchi80283 жыл бұрын
Just play two notes above the note your playing to harmonize in thirds. It will switch from major to minor.

So, I'm trying to figure out a harmony for a little lead guitar part, based on the classic Star Wars scene when looking is looking at the two moons are Tatooine at sunset. Seems like great harmony potential there. Problem is there are no sheet music or chords to figure out the key. I have the notes all written down, but they don't really fit any scale. D G A A# C. So how would I go about this??
@joshdar85106 жыл бұрын
if you just look at that a# like a b flat and you add the e and the f you have d minor

I'm just getting started and don't now much about this stuff (hell I don't even know if I should use the neck or bridge pickup). keep up the good work man :) !!!

In other words, if u play any diatonic scale in position x, the harmony part is located (in the same scale )in position x+2, right?
