I always thought you had to leave them on till they go brown. It is so wet here and they are gooey. So I just cut the rest off and will wait a few weeks and see what happens.

We don’t need to wait for the flowers to turn completely brown on the plant to collect them? Novice gardener here and I was told to wait until the flower head is completely dry and brown on the plant before collecting.
