The way a queen becomes queen is the first larvae kills all the others. To do this isn't too different. And when you think about silk manufscturing, they kill the worm larvae to collect the silk

Bees produce that for future queens if their queen is dying/dead and need a replacement (SURVIVAL) Humans benefit nothing essential from it (MONEY) They sell it for "beauty/health" even though its harmful to humans and they still buy it: bleeding colon, skin irritation, anaphylactic shock, etc.
