How to hatch eggs using a brooding hen

Just some helpful advice. Its ok to move a hen like you did the first time, best to do it right after dark. When you tried the second time, you should never help chicks out of the egg, I have done this a few times, and the chicks were always the weakest in the clutch of chicks, most never survived. What I would have recommended is to put the hen and already hatched chicks back in the nest and locked her in there for at least a day. The eggs would have warmed back up and probably hatched just fine. Its all a learning experience. I have raised poultry for almost 15 years and sometimes had to learn the hard way (dead birds). can you make the rabbit hutch? please show us how to make one. my hens are starting to go broody and I'm having them practice with 3 limes and 3 non fertile eggs they laid. they seem to be buying it so I need to build a separate house for one of them to hatch her chicks.

please try aseel breed hens for hatching chicks. aseel hens are the best broody hens in the chicken world. once they are broody no other chicken is safe in her strike range. my cobra aseel hen hatched 14 out of 15 eggs and successfully raised them with 0 loss and she looked after them until the cockerels started crowing. they are so much better than any broody breed. aseel hens are always on top of pecking order and no hen dare to mess with them. a broody aseel hen knows no sister, no husband, no coopmate, no owner. my hen drew blood from my hand when I tried take the eggs from inside her to candle, finally I gave up. but nevertheless she hatched 14 out of 15 eggs and successfully raised them with 0 loss not bad for a first time mother.
