Here is roughly what the transcript is: Hi I’m Tracey, and today I would like to show you how to use emotes while skating in Sky. I don’t usually make videos with voice, but this is a bit tricky to share in game so I thought I would make this tutorial. Here as you can see, I am moving around the ice skating rink while using the spinning emote from Season of Dreams (this is in Sky beta by the way). So the core principle is sliding around slowly in a circle, and then choosing an emote that keeps its "state" after you tap it. I'll explain more about that later. But once the emote is able to keep its state, you’ll pretty much be able to keep holding onto the joystick in one direction, while your character continues moving, like so. So, here’s a diagram of the rough area where it’s easiest to skate in a circle in Home Space. I usually skate clockwise, so that I can just hold the joystick in the bottom-left corner. Now this is the fiddly part. You can start trying to skate around that circle. It might take a few tries to get a speed that works. I sometimes try and use the emote itself to help slow me down. You can see that while I am spinning, I’m trying to keep the joystick held down in one direction, which is the bottom left corner, in this case. The camera will follow automatically. It can get pretty dizzying, but it probably will seem impressive to other people who will have a different camera, once you are able to reach that state. Here I used a jump emote to quickly cancel out of the exit animation. You can use another emote like bow or similar. And with this round, it seems to have worked. I’m able to keep my state while spinning around the ice skating rink. Once you do reach this state, you can keep going for as long as you like, basically. All you have to do is keep holding the joystick in that same direction, and make sure that the camera follows. If you’re feeling a bit frisky, you can try other emotes. I tried different levels of the same emote here. And here is an example with the Welcome emote from Season of Rhythm. Going back to what I said about emotes that keep their state, well as you can see here, the Welcome emote doesn't automatically make me return to my original pose after I have started using it. The best examples of emotes that keep their state are handstand and faint. As you can see, after using handstand, I will keep this way until I flick or something, and then the game will return me to my original pose. So this trick also works with these emotes. It will not work continuously with an emote like backflip, since that makes you go back to your original position. Bow is also another emote that returns you to your original position automatically. So I hope this video helps you with using emotes on the ice skating rink, and I hope you have fun. I remember back in early beta, I made a bunch of friends from messing around with emotes and showing them how to do tricks that I had learnt from others. But it’s a bit trickier to do with this trick, and a bit tricker nowadays, since everyone is busy with quests and things. But yeah. Thanks for watching.

I’ve found that it’s easier to practise in the ice skating rinks in the Village than in Home.
