Just so you know... i had to have have a difficult convo w a guy and I'd been holding back for a week and this video really helped me. I had to tell him that I slept w his brother about 10 years ago. I know that's a lot of info to share here. But i had to let you know how much confidence this lesson gave me. And in all of my convos over the last couple days I've been able to use her tips and it makes things so smooth w/o anyone feeling bad or stressed.

I have had the difficult conversation, and we are now moving towards more sexual intimacy. We are taking things step by step. He thanked me for being open with him and honest. I understand the situation more clearly, and your tips about being open and honest with a man is in the long term is what men respect. Thank you for this advice on this video. My boyfriend says that he prefers our relationship the way that it is, just kissing and cuddling, and no real sexual relationship and intimacy. I am going to have this difficult conversation this evening. He's always telling me that he loves me. However, i there is no real intimacy, and i feel rejected. He says that he had a normal sex life with his girlfriend of 3 years, but won't be intimate with me. I have never had this problem with intimacy with my other boyfriends.

I am feeling ignored and sad that my husband is constantly on his tablet playing this one game. He plays it as soon as he gets up until he goes to work and as soon as he gets home until bedtime. What’s the best thing I could say to him to get him to cut down the time he spends on it and to spend quality time with me especially in the evening?

I know it's been awhile since you posted, so don't know if this will help now. But, my bf does this. He's constantly playing games on his phone. However, he likes me to hang out with him while he's doing it. So I've learned if I go sit next to him like he wants and he keeps playing, I give him like 5 minutes to wrap it up and put it down and if he doesn't, I walk away and go do something else. When he first began to ask why I was leaving, I told him it's because his attention was elsewhere and i didn't enjoy sitting there while watching him and not having his full attention. Other times, I just flat out ask him to put it away, and he does. I think we just need to communicate our needs. Like they said, he wants to make his woman happy, so if you just tell him what makes you happy, and it's not unreasonable or hard, he'll do it. It's not hard to not play video games Then reward him. Thank him, give him positive attention, connection and fun. Make yourself more appealing than the game. Maybe even try some physical touch, look good, be flirty. Unless he's completely disconnected and checked out, his woman's positive attention will win out every time.

My boyfriend of four and a half months is still close friends with his ex girlfriend of 10 years. also, he will bring her name up 4-7 times a day. I have discussed this with him, and he stops, then starts again a few days later. also, since he has split up from her, who he was with for 3 years, he hasn't been able to have long term steady relationships with other women. Also, he has big anxieties around sexual relationship with girlfriends and ends the relationship because he is uneasy about sexual intimacy. Now, this is happening to me. We haven't made love and he says that he prefers our relationship with it being sexual, but that it will happen naturally. I can't get to the bottom of it?

What if your husband says, "sure, I think regular dates would be a great idea! Let me know when and where?" Or, "you let me know whenever you are feeling this needing to go on a date and we can do something." … in any case, he won't step into the masculine role of leading out on it?

Ruby, since this is a year later I assume you've figured out how to express this. 😋 If anyone is reading who hasn't, though, I thought I'd offer my experience. It's a good thing to be specific and directly communicate to a partner (who might not need to go on dates as often as we want to) what you want and what would make you feel good. Then you can say, "What do you think?" If he tells you "Sure, just let me know," (which means you didn't already tell him you'd love for HIM to plan it) you can say with your feminine smile and charm, "I would really love for you to plan it, please." Then sit back and wait for him to make it happen. If he doesn't remember or act on this specific request, then you get to review his level of investment in your relationship and whether it works for you or not. 🙂

Hi, I’ve just fell on this and wonder if you could help. I was seeing a chap and after being intimate he passed me Hsv1 to my lady regions (dr advised that he must have had a cold sore but he may not have realised). I did tell him but after the chat he withdrew so I walked away. A few weeks later we met up. We had a giggle and he said I dumped him, I said not really,you withdrew. He said he didn’t know why. He said the hsv through him, I said to you question my cleanliness, he said possibly. I want to chat with him deeper about this as I feel he proportioned blame to me when actually he gave it to me. A doctor friend of mine said, I must have been ultra bendy to give it to myself. I don’t want to blame but feel I need to understand. It’s a conversation I don’t know how to discuss openly with him without blame.

I am torn between "leaning back" and trusting the man to do things at a pace that is comfortable for him, and letting him know that I need more communication to feel close and connected in him. We have been dating for 2 months. We have decided to be exclusive. We are both busy professionals in our early 40s and he has two, little kids. So he is a busy man. When we go on dates (usually once a week) he is wonderful and amazing and I feel very connected and close to him. During the week, I get either a good morning or good night text and that is about it. There have been days where I haven't heard from him at all. Him having the kids half time does limit the time he's available to go on dates. I want to be understanding of his busy schedule, but when I hear from him so little, I feel very disconnected. I've never dated a man who has texted this little. I don't want to come off as needy telling him I would like him to message or call me more. Is it me who is simply insecure when I don't hear from him and needs to change? Not him? Thoughts?
