@Box-js9kp I'm there with you Mama (or Papa). My little boy started having seizures for the first time just a few months ago. The first one was just an absentee. He had it close to bedtime and we thought maybe he fell asleep with his eyes open. It was strange but then after about 2 minutes he snapped out of it, giggled a bit (he just turned 4 a couple weeks ago so he's very young) and went to sleep. It was odd so I thought I'd get him to the pediatrician to be safe. Well, the next morning he had a full on seizure in my arms. I was so scared! It lasted 4 minutes and as soon as it was over we went straight to the nearest children's hospital. This video hit me right in the gut because that little boy looks a bit like my son. Hang in there! It's tough but it will be alright. ❤❤❤

A seizure occurs when the nervous system fires charges rapidly, and a charge is misfired. Before a seizure: Auras such as a weird taste or smell, unstableness, weakness, dizziness, numbness followed, tingling, sudden anxiety. Symptoms: Stiffness, convulsing, foaming at the mouth, vomiting, bleeding (if victim bites tongue during the seizure), staring, losing partial or complete consciousness, trouble breathing, lopss of bowel or bladder control, and/or awareness. Side effects: Drowsiness, dizziness, confusion, panicky, temporary loss of memory. How to treat seizures: 1. Time the seizure. If the seizure last 5 minutes or longer and/or multiple seizures occur, call for medical attention. 2. Place a soft object under their head or lift it and tilt it upwards to prevent head or brain injury. 3. Unless in a significant possibility of being injured, DO NOT move the patient. 4. Turn the victim on their side to clear out airways to prevent loss or shortness of breath. 5. DO NOT place a spoon or any object into the victim's mouth. Although it is a highly concepted rumor that a victim can swallow their tongue, it is impossible to. In fact, that will cause more damage because the victim could break their teeth if they bite on the object. 6. When the seizure is over, talk calmly to the patient to prevent startling them. A cause of a seizure could be from TBI brain injury, overheating, flashing or bright lights, etc. Hope this helps, (PS I am 14, and not a doctor yet, I just love learning about neurology)

I'm scared to get checked because I've had two in my life and what if they tell me I'm epileptic. My life would be very over. I'm only 17 and my life is over.

Hi my little sister she has seizure I don't know what to do if I see her I haveing a seizure I need some answers
@crunchycookie069 жыл бұрын
Don't be scared. It's OK. I have epilepsy myself.
@vianeyalopez9 жыл бұрын
Danielle Murphy I've calmed down a little so here's the answer. If it's diagnosed let her have one and make sure she doesn't hurt herself. Put something under her head and let it run its course. If undiagnosed or worse than usual call a ambulance. Afterwards roll her over and let her recover.

Restraining a person having a seizure can hurt that person or yourself, same thing if you move them when it’s not necessary to do so

Is seizure curable
@MackRoss207 ай бұрын
No. Unfortunately but it can be treated with epilepsy medication but just because medication is required for seizures doesn’t mean it’s cured and it’s gone forever.

what is the maximum time during epilepsy?
@mlp-violet-star7 жыл бұрын
Om Kumar Thakur If it lasts longer than 5 minutes, its the person's first seizure, they hurt themselves, or they're pregnant, call a doctor
@danielledewitt17 жыл бұрын
MLP-Violet-Star You mean call an ambulance. Also call an ambulance aka 999 if you feel the person needs medical attention.
@danielledewitt17 жыл бұрын
Or if they keep going into seizures without recovering from the last one they had which that happened to me once mum had to phone 999 as it was clearly it had no intention of letting me recover.
