I have bipolar one .I almost destroyed my marriage,my relationship with my children,and got my self in legal trouble and destroyed my career because I thought I did not need my meds anymore and stopped which put me in a manic episode and a psychotic break.Unless you have bipolar nobody truly understands what we go through but the videos you make I’am hoping people can understand what we go through .You speak from your heart and you keep it real. I been in and out of the hospital over the years.I had a lot of suicide attempts over the years and legal trouble and it was always when I went off my meds.You need these meds for life its never worth trying to get off them !! Trust me I learned the hard way !!!! Iam trying to put my life back together now. Thank you for your videos!!!❤️

Fellow bipolar I mama to 2 kids 10 and under. I've been watching a lot of your videos! I have experienced a very different life with this disorder than you have; I basically mostly turn reclusive during episodes. I had my first and only hospitalization when my kids were 4 and 1 and it scared the shit out of me. I was never consistently medicated prior to that and went almost a decade without a manic episode so thought I wasn't actually bipolar. Back then, my mania turned psychotic and I spent 10 days in the psych ward. I actually heard command hallucinations which I had never had before. I knew I need to be stable and healthy for my kids and spouse and I've committed to treatment ever since. I haven't self medicated with alcohol since my 20s and I'm in my 40s now. I will never come off my medications as my disorder is very unpredictable and potentially dangerous. Solidarity. Parenting is tough work!!!

Would you consider doing a video about how to cope with when a person with bipolar 1 goes missing? Thank you so much.
@MeganAmaya3 ай бұрын
Yes I can do that. Missing meaning they are on the streets or what do you mean?
@Ghostheque3 ай бұрын
@@MeganAmaya they have just gone missing. They left everything. Job. Home. Responsibilities. And all involved don’t know where they are.
@MeganAmaya3 ай бұрын
@@Ghostheque that is so horrible!! I’m so incredibly sorry 😢 I would say the only thing you can do is pray 🙏🏻 was he or she on medication?
