It’s hard enough for adults to control their anger, but it can be even harder for kids. Parents often feel hopeless in knowing how to calm their angry child. Sometimes they don’t even understand why their child is angry. Is there hope for these parents? How can they help their kids who struggle with anger? Tricia Goyer discusses these questions and more, based on her book, Calming Angry Kids.

I do not understand why an awesome video about our families has 5,000 views and vulgarity has 5 billion views, but the world advertises better than reality.

Parenting an angry child can be so frustrating. We try to come to a common ground of love and honor and remind them God is our biggest help

i became a foster mom after my brother committed suicide. they were abused by the moms new boyfriend so cps gave them to me. my other adopted daughter now 14 is still having a lot of issues with them being here.shortly after i got a divorce and became a single mom. i have recently got her professional help after she quit gymnastics and cheerleading and now has started to cut on herself. its so heartbreaking not knowing what to do to help her and them during this time. i have watched and listened to your broadcast every morning for 10 years now and it has changed my life completely. thank you for this one today. it has really helped me control my anger when things go crazy and im going to apply it to my family and see if we can have a better relationship.

I would also like to encourage you to read the books of Psalms and Proverbs to your children. Stay in prayer for yourself and for the children. Teach them to pray for themselves. Do your best and trust that the Lord will help you through it as he help your children adjust as well. I will pray for you and your children. Peace and blessings to you and your family.

It is not your fault she cuts herself, I had a step brother who did the same thing, it turns out that he is schizophrenic.

This is exactly what I needed to hear. I'm experiencing bad attitude with my eleven year old. Thank-you so much for helping us be better parents for our children. ♥

Probably teach your child to let go, learn your lesson and move on, try not to make the same mistake twice...do not dwell on whatever made you angry...I guess one has to try all techniques until they figure out what works for them...what works for one does not necessarily work for another.

The woman says some are born angry. Then she says they are angry from things in their past. Babies are not born angry. They are sweet innocent people who are taught love/hate anger/love happy/sad. They become loving productive adults or bad blaming unproductive people according to home life.

You must put yourself in their shoes. Can you imagine being stripped of the greatest joy in the world by not having your biological living parents there to love you? When your with adopted people it's not the same.Have you ever studied the different types of bond and love a biological parent gives a child versus a foster parent. They feel like a burden to you.

please bring superstition or religion out of parenting! Luke 14:26 If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. Matthew 10:37 “Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.”

Why do parents put up with this nonsense. Take control. You are the parent. Why are you allowing evil to come near you or be in your midst. I’m not buying it. If parents would just show the kids who’s the parents, end of story. Grow a backbone.

Diane, do you have children? How old? It is NOT always as easy as *having a backbone*...
