Thanks very much for this! I had an issue, so when I apply the legend in the way that you do, it applies to text colour, not to background cell colour - anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Okay, so the issue with the text being coloured and not the cell background filling was because I hadn't selected square in the marks card. However, when I select the diverging colour scale and select white for both ends, it ends up with the left side being darker for some reason - I may resolve this issue by trial and error also, but any help is greatly appreciated!

Lol. So I fixed this one as well. I just clicked 'Advanced' and ticked both 'Start' and 'End' and entered 0 in both then Apply and that worked. I hope these ramblings helped someone!

Suppose I would like to add a ratio column, which is going to be dimension, at the end on table, any suggestion how can I add it? And I wish to highlight this dimension column. what instead of segment we can different columns like months, Variance, Target. and need to colour code only one column.

Hi! That's going to be difficult to do. It would be easier to add it to the beginning of the table. You can do that by... 1. Dropping the ratio field on the rows shelf 2. Right-click on the ratio pill 3. Convert to dimension Hopefully that works!

Thanks for detailed explanation which solved my problem, it's ridiculous that we have to go through this complicated steps just to highlight a column. I had to highlight 32 columns manually which took me 20 mins

For sure! Just skip the steps around 1:00 - 2:00 where I do the bars in the background of the worksheet and leave the Marks type dropdown set as Text / Abc and otherwise do all the steps the same. Good luck!
