How to hike Mt. Baldy Devil's Backbone Trail 2020; Mt. Baldy San Bernardino County, California, USA

Went up via the Baldy Bowl then down the backbone. The backbone was the most terrifying experience I’ve ever had because of how narrow it got with such huge drops. Was rough for someone with a fear of heights

Well done. I’ve only taken the lift up there. Next time I will definitely try the backbone but probably will need to wait til summertime with all this fresh snow.

I'm planning on hiking the trail up and taking the lift down over the weekend. do you know if the lifts are running on Saturdays or Sundays? if so, what times?

The trams starts as early as 7am and goes pretty late in the evening if they have a band playing at the bar, if not then the tram will still be taking people down by 8pm.

Excellent advice not to hike this route in winter when covered in snow or when socked-in with clouds when the visibility is near zero.
