I remember Tim from a previous video as well I think...I may be mistaken...it was another serve video of him. Love the dynamics of this teaching methodology compared to other coaching systems. Clearly displaying to the student their movement in actuality as opposed to what they feel it looks like. Much respect to Ian and Matt, and the continued delivery of quality content by the ET team. Cheers! M

Thank you for another great video. I had been playing tennis just for one yr so I always looking for drills to improve my game. Sometimes I get together with some friends but they don't like to do drills. They want to hit and hit. I believe in doing both to get better. What's your opinion? Thx

Hitting along is great for sharping the skills/habits you already have, but you'll never develop fundamentally different ones. Moving full levels in tennis usually requires making fundamental changes to your habits.....so, it all depends on your goals. Most players don't like leaving their comfort zone, so they just keep hitting the same way they always have and try to do it 1% better. That's much easier than improving how your body moves to get 50% better.

Hello, great video as usual. Can you tell me with which app you make the slow motion and the possibility to write on the video please ?

Helpful video Ian! One issue I keep running into is that I find myself hitting the inside frame of the racquet (trailing edge) occasionally. Any tips to avoid this shank?

Yup, that happens a lot, especially when trying an aggressive swing path for the first time. In my experience the most helpful thing is to try and aim for the leading edge for a few swings.....and you'll probably end up meeting half way in the middle 😊

Raonic was hitting kick serve.. while he is hitting slice serve.. (btw he is overrotating his chest and simply stepping into the court with his right foot .. he doesn't seem to have problems with his knees.. so he should "jump" into the court.. with his left foot leading )
