I’ve been on my schools first eleven since I was 13, we’re a not so good school at hockey but this vid helped me score more than I normally do, I am a defender so I don’t score often

I have a tip: roll the ball a little (really slowly) and than use the tips in the video it goes way harder and when your hitting the ball and you have your hands at the top of the grip you have to go a little lower with your hands what will make you have go way faster and it's easier

Excellent tips! You may wish to add that it is important to create some "lag" in the shot by not gripping the stick too tightly, and then keeping the hands low and leading in the shot. This will allow low launching of the ball with a release of the stick's hitting area through the hitting zone... Very good and instructive!

I'm just starting field hockey but I thought u had to keep ur stick below ur waist

Usually, you do, otherwise it's considered dangerous, and the ref will call it. But when you have some open space and are at no risk for hitting anyone, you can use a long drive and the stick can be above your waist on your windup.

While hitting the ball, it's theoretically below the shoulders, not below waist... But, as Karleigh said, the matter for the umpires is that the movement you make may not cause danger for anyone else
