Good stuff joe, as I'm sitting here on a cold winter evening I can literally hear a dozen Coyotes out in my field waiting for the next deer to starve during this incredible cold snap, the third one of the winter so far. But hey the coyotes will eat well and I also Imagine they're a pretty big boom to our economy here in Illinois kind of like deer hunting??

Oh I can read in between those lines!!! Lol. I hate to hear those coyotes are out there man. I hear them too and every time I think of how to stop them. But then again, I may just be a heartless pew pew owner. Lol. Hope all is well!

I just found your channel. I predict the channel will have a massive following as word spreads. Super engaging and informative. This is going to sound corny but Joe has something you can’t learn and can’t be faked - charisma. Two minutes into the video and you feel like you’re listening to an old friend. Thank you for all the work you do to put the videos together.

Wow Robert, Thank you! I actually consider you all friends! That's why I say "hey friends" in the beginning! Appreciate your kindness. Now I need to print this and put it on my refrigerator. :)

Looks like you got a nice place there love the rolling hills. For filling your feeders try putting the tailgate down and backing up to your feeder stand on the tailgate- box and then you can see inside and its really easy to fill works great for us at our place.

Good evening Joe I love all the videos! I took your advice from the last video to keep the side by side running while refilling my feeders! I checked my cameras a few day later and with in 20-25 mins they came right out to the feeder around 2:10pm.

If they start really eating you up you may want to get a programmable motorized feeder. Our 300 pound feeder lasts a month with one daily 5 second dispense cycle, and still has the same attraction value for the animals

Hey! I have used them in the past and really prefer the low tech of the gravity feeders. I'm ok with them clearing it out right now because there is really nothing else to eat. Once it greens up I'll pull back some on the feed and start hammering mineral. Not perfect but has worked well so far! Appreciate the tips brother!

Thanks man! I would love to watch elk, that would be amazing. We’ve been snowed in too. We don’t have snow removal equipment and 8 inches is a lot for the south! Can’t wait to see that video!!! And yes, come help with the roof!!! Lol

Great video!! I'm starting to like that side by side.. after I acquire my piece of property here soon.. when you first put out that feeder does it take a little while for the deer to get used to it ?? I like the product that you're putting in there for a supplement! I guess my question is could you use one of those bags of supplements and one bag of corn where it's a 50/50 ? we didn't have a whole lot of mass this year.. for the deer are moving around a lot this year trying to find food..
@JoeTheFarmer
@JoeTheFarmer 8 ай бұрын
Hey! Yes, the side by side has been a great help. And the buck bourbon can easily be cut with corn. The deer will find it pretty quickly and now that they know where the feeders are, they come back year after year. I think it will help with mass...that and age. We are going into year 4 of a feeding program and it has been amazing to see the difference. Appreciate you buddy!

Thank you for the presentation. How in the name of respect and peace can anyone warrant throwing expensive feed. Especially the fine component. Directly on the ground? Because. It is ALL paid for. But not ALL utilised. The wind scatters 50% of the off the mark as well to start off with.
@JoeTheFarmer
@JoeTheFarmer 8 ай бұрын
The wildlife will eat everything on the ground. And it will lead them to the feeder. The fine component is mineral which will stay in the soil and it will be there for them to access throughout the year. Nothing is being wasted. 👍🏼
