Really good video Dan. I can say from experience changing the fluid makes a big difference to the smoothness etc of the car if it's not been done for a while. I changed the gearbox oil at the same time on mine and it felt like a new car. Great tip on getting the wheels off the deck to activate the 4 wheel drive system. I was fortunate enough to have access to my mates lift. A job well worth doing on these cars.

Yes as when the car is been driven the drive shafts move and the diff, but not the DPS system at the front of the diff thus nor does the prop or transfer box activate…. Hence the importance of running all 4 wheels on the lift to activate the 4x4 system. I have found at times even when the fluid is not changed, simply letting the 4x4 run for 10/15 mins works wonders. Take a look at my late MK2 I have picked up …. It’s even better love it ! Bar the KZbin channel have a Facebook page 👍🏼 Would 100% recommend doing it
