I literally never comment but you saved my day. I invested in a 50" Roku TV and was excited to finally watch stuff on a big screen when suddenly I was frustrated for HOURS kicking myself because I couldn't figure out how to have quality audio playing from my soundbar without it being a ROKU soundbar. THANK GOD I FOUND YOUR VIDEO!! or else I mightve just angrily bought a Roku soundbar for an insane amount of money!!

@@CalmStorm22 I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. The Bluetooth speaker is connected to my phone. I can play music/KZbin/etc. but the second I switch the headphone mode on the Roku app it is absolutely nothing. No sound from the tv and no sound from the speaker.

The only way you can do that is if your Roku TV and your cell phone is on the same internet Wi-Fi but if your phone is doing the hotspot and your TV is feeding off your cell phone's hotspot then this won't work, my phone is the internet hotspot for the Roku TV, so technically it's not sharing the same Wi-Fi because my phone can't receive Wi-Fi and put out hotspot Internet for my TV at the same time

lol the tv wont support a random bluetooth speaker or stereo. But your phone does. You connect the TV to your Phone, and your Phone to the Bluetooth speaker. Really easy takes about 10 seconds!!
