I just figured it out if you type it in the chat and you get the “access level is now : 32” make sure you type in “/setaccesslevel “name” ADMIN “. Admin has to be in all caps. This worked for me as of 3/28/2023

Hi, thanks for the video, but i got an issue I've been looking to spawn some items for a scenario based world with friends. I typed the command to grant myself admin access but it said something like "your access level : 32" I can spawn in items by commands in the chat but i don't have the admin tag on my name and i don't have access to the admin panel. You have any idea why that is? Maybe i missed something in the server settings?

Hello, i need some help whit something, me and my friend are playing in my server for about 3 days, and now we want to change some setting like, sleeping o reading faster, can i change the server setting whitout deleting our progres? and how? Edit: Ho and can i install mods for the server too?

yes and yes, just change the server settings. For mods you need to download the mods, enable them in the server settings under Mods and Workshop sections, then fenagle restarts until it works. If the mods update while your playing (which will result in an error when you try to launch the server), you will need to turn them off in the settings to force them redownload. I don't remember the specifics but that is the general idea

If you haven't figured it out yet: C:/Users/(your acc name)/Zomboid/Saves/ everything is in the folder > Multiplayer. You can have multiple folders here with different names, whatever one you give the name 'Multiplayer' will be run, so name them accordingly. Also, this multiplayer folder very easily compresses and decompresses (512 Mb -> 12Mb). 3:23

Hi man, excuseme ive seen all those games like Minecraft, Rust, Ark and some others where people can create his custom plugins for the game to do some kind of Events with many players. You have two options: 1) build a second computer, run the zomboid server.exe, open up the server ports to the public then share your public ip address 2) buy a domain and rent a dedicated server for $700 a year

Just to clarify the above answer, these are not entirely mutually exclusive. You can run a server from a local machine and have a domain you buy point to it. Most cheap domains are about $10 a year. This doesn't hide your IP at all, but it is a lot easier than trying to give people an IP. You also shouldn't need to have a second computer, at least in theory. If your computer can handle it, there's nothing stopping you from just running it all on one computer. It does mean the server will always be eating resources and you can't turn the computer off (or the server will go down), but it is a viable option if you're on a budget.

Yeah, you can. Me and my friends did that starting in December when we all first got the game. To my knowledge, the current version of Zomboid has a fully released multiplayer that can be run by using the host button from the menu. If your friends can't join, I find it worked if you invited your friends through the game rather than Steam for the first time they play. They should be able to join via Steam every other time after.

You'll need to look up how to run the server.exe and port forward etc. Stuff I've done with other games but never bothered on Zomboid since we all play together.
