They use NodeJS too, You know ? FB Invented React for a reason. NodeJS has it's own usecase and new projects / products which are built from scratch are build on top of NodeJS. MongoDB is also used by many companies even in MAGMA/FAANG/MAANG Most of the startups use MERN Java is resource heavy for smaller companies and it requires very good coding skills to grasp and optimize every single aspect of it . When it comes to MERN they just spawn an instance and call it "Your instance uses more power so pay me" it's that easy
