Love the tumbler and snack container. One of my favorite snacks while sewing is strawberry twizzlers or chocolate covered almonds.

All of a sudden every sewing video I have ever watched just made sense! Holy Moly! 💙 Thank you so much for this video and every one of the ones before it laying the foundation for my brain to learn a new skill. I appreciate your time and talent more than you will know! I'll be glad when I get finished with so many dr appts and tests and the $$$ for them to be able to reactivate my Patreon account.

I've watched this a couple of times now - I've tried and did a good job around the neckline following your tips. But came a cropper with attaching the lining to the side splits. Still wearable but the bottom bits are quite embarrassing. I also watch Karina who is also very talented with insides. Maybe one day!😃

Great video. Just about to make my first Anna Dress, so this is so very helpful. I love how you do your zip upside down. Fabulous and great tip on basting the open seam to give a guide when sewing it up at the end. Thanks for sharing this 👍👌😻

Thank you for this video Sian, I love the 'trick' you did when sewing the zip to the lining and what you did with the lining around the arm holes. I will be adding this to my 'Sewing' video list on my KZbin account. Love to Chiana and Susie

Thank you so much for the last two videos!! They were so helpful. I’ve wanted some guidance on lining my garments as well as use of border print fabrics. I’m fairly new to garment sewing and trying to learn all that I can. I really want the inside of my garments to look as good on the inside as outside. Thanks again and have a great weekend!

I LOVE your methods and encouragement. I have a VERY itchy experience with store purchased clothing So this hopefully lined will help me. Only thing I am concerned about is the zipper teeth might itch?? But I LOVE the way it helps get into the blouses

Getting tips for how to make a bodice while tracing bottoms (Winslow Culottes) - just sewists things 😂 I'll definitely come back to this in the future because linings and zippers are always such a head-scratcher. ❤

I really enjoyed it, think I will have to rewatch it a few more times to get my head round it all. As I have never done any bodice lining, skirts yes but who hasn't. Feeling a bit confused, like it's above my pay grade🤯. But I'm determined to get better and learn more. Could you recommend anyone on ytude, who to content maybe? I wish I could get to a sewing and pattern design class. But I have difficult mobility issues due to a congenital defect which causes me a lot of pain. So I tend to stay home, as I don't like people looking at me. But I love your passion for sewing, found and got a few patterns that I loved. Which you do sew alongs or plan to do in the future. So I can do them with you step by step. Just saving for the fabric, I could spend a fortune if I had it on fabric lol 😆. Just going to save and get the best quality fabric I can, as I want my future wardrobe to be all made by me, for them to last and look beautiful. As I can tailor each piece of clothing to suit me, hopefully in the future. As I embroider as well, incorporating this along with some of my planned wardrobe. Thank you again and I'm so glad I found you. Looking fab, the top looked great. Love the Anna top, but I'm a bit bigger than you. Well done on the diet, it's definitely working 👍 take care see you I your next video. Lol 😂😂😂 xx ☺️👍

This came along at the perfect moment! So clear and informative thank you! I’m grappling with an Anna dress for a wedding and didn’t realise the woven fabric I ordered had stretch in it. Does the lining now need to have the same amount of stretch or is it just a case of ensuring it has some? Thank you, I have loved all your Anna tops and they are such a perfect fit for your figure (I have no waist so still not sure but giving it a go)!

Putting in a request for a lined bodice with unlined long sleeves. What I do is attach lining everywhere as necessary except the arm holes - I do stay stitch for handling. I then just do the normal French seaming tech for the sleeves to the body. If there's another way would LOVE to see yours. Thanks
@KittenishBehaviourSian2 жыл бұрын
That way works very well. You can also bag out the sleeves. I’ll make a video 😊

Siam. You mentioned bust darts in your Anna Top but I didn’t see any bust darts on the original bodice pattern piece. Did you just add it in? Thank you!

Hi Sian. Do you find that you have to do a bust adjustment on this pattern or do the darts and tucks take care of a cup bigger than the B that the pattern is designed for ?
@KittenishBehaviourSian Жыл бұрын
I did have to do a FBA, I followed the By Hand London Sew-Along for the instructions :)

Thank you, this is very useful! Just a quick question because I'm not sure if I understand all the nuances, is there a benefit to leaving a bit of the side seam open vs the hem at the bottom of the top? Omg that sentence is trippy lol.
@KittenishBehaviourSian2 жыл бұрын
you can do either 😊

@@KittenishBehaviourSian thank you! I'm absent minded sometimes and orange pins might remind me that I'm supposed to do something, but I'd likely forget what that is lol.
