In this video if you have a fungus in your lawn, I show you how to spot it. It's important to know that if you have a fungus, what type of fungus it is and how to treat it. Some people use fungicides on the wrong fungus and it makes them frustrated when it doesn't clear up. That's why its important to know exactly what fungus it is and then research what fungicide tou need to use to clear it up. Most people think that Propiconizole will clear up every fungus but that's not the case. It works on most, but is ineffective to some. I hope this video helps you to identify different fungus.
Thank you for your support,

I sometimes include iron with with the fungicide, depending on the condition of the lawn. I had to jump on my parent's lawn really quick because it came hard and with a vengeance and I used iron to help green it up. I used Aramda 50 that has two modes of action (1&3). It's coming back to life. If you can afford the professional chemical, do it. It actually cost less than the big box store stuff, when you do the math. Don't be afraid of the initial cost because it is way cheaper in the long run. You will have to use much less of the product and you will typically have to pre-treat your lawn each year and throughout the season. Fungus will be back and you will be ready for it.

Thanks frank, nozzle tips depend on the weather. If you have a little wind and it's very humid, use a tip that has large droplets. Using a tip with medium droplets is the way to go, though, when spraying fungicides

Can I apply early morning when grass is still wet? Cause is easier to spot the areas? Is it safe to apply to entire lawn. Reason I ask is because I've been leaving clippings and mulching...
@PoloFieldsLawnService
@PoloFieldsLawnService Жыл бұрын
Hello Ostin, Yes, you can apply your fungicide early in the morning. Always apply your fungicide over your entire lawn. Never spot spray a fungicide like how you may do weeds. If you have a fungus in your lawn, BAG ALL OF YOUR CLIPPINGS until the fungus is gone. Don't mulch them or side discharge them because you would just be spreading the fungus throughout your lawn. Hope this helps 🙏🏾

Thanks for the info. I need to step up my anti fungus game. Do you know if theres a correlation between H.O.C. and fungus. My thinking is that taller grass will retain moisture increasing the chances for fungus on high humidity high temperatures. Also would you do a video on different tips for different spray applications.

Hey, Height of cut doesn't make a difference when it comes to diseases. I've seen lawns cut high (4.25) and cut low (1 inch) that has received a fungus.

Your second question, what do you mean when you say different tips for different spray applications? Give me a quick example....
@aquienpuedainteresar4188
@aquienpuedainteresar4188 3 жыл бұрын
@@PoloFieldsLawnService Thanks. I guessed that by eliminating excess moisture could reduce the chances of getting fungus but you know better. I saw in the video you have a tip that spray really wide. Also others suggest to use different tips for soil drench or foliar applications and things like that. I just for some reason don't seem to get what they try to explain. Maybe they complicated a bit but must likely it's me. You break things down easy for me to understand.
@PoloFieldsLawnService
@PoloFieldsLawnService 3 жыл бұрын
@@aquienpuedainteresar4188 Thanks, spraying all comes with practice. Practice on concrete with water FIRST so you can see your spray width and actually how much water is getting on the ground. SECOND, medium pressure is fine to spray. You just want to coat the grass, NOT pressure wash it if you know what I mean. THIRD, trust your gut that what you put down is covering the area that you are spraying. I use a tip that sprays wide because of time. The wider the spray, the quicker I get done and could go to the next one. I will TRY to do a video on spraying soon that can give people tips about spraying 👍🏾

Can grubs and fungus cause similar issues?
@PoloFieldsLawnService
@PoloFieldsLawnService 5 күн бұрын
Yes and No. Here is how it works. Grubs and fungus will cause brown spots. When it's grub damage, you can pull the dead grass right up out of the ground. When it's fungus, you'll see mycelium or spots on the grass blades. Depending on the fungus, brown spots will be in circle shapes or irregular patterns. You won't be able to pull the grass up like if it is grub damage.
