Good morning ma. Hope u see my comment on time. When u were explaining the /u/ sound u gave example 'good' and in /u:/ there was an example 'food'. Can u pls explain it briefly in this comment 🙏🙏🙏

Hi, "oo" in between two consonants can either be pronounced /u/ or /u:/. The "oo" in food has /u/ while the "oo" in good has /u:/. What I think you want to find out is when to pronounce "oo" as /u/ and as /u:/. For now there has not been any specific rule or guidelines to it. So 'oo' can either be short or long. Nevertheless, most words that end in 'ook' usually have /u/ in the 'oo' position.
