How To Import Excel to Dataverse using Dataflow
Hey Everyone,
In this video, we'll look at how to import data from an Excel spreadsheet and save it as tables in dataverse. Once the tables are created, we'll create one-to-many relationships and finally use that to create a canvas app.
In my demo, I have a canvas app whose data source was initially in an Excel spreadsheet since I was in the POC stage. Now that I'm ready to move it to production, I need to first import it to Dataverse.

This was an excellent video for someone like me whos trying to learn Dataverse 👍, im looking forward to more if this is gonna be series ,would be good explore all the goodies of Dataverse in conjunction with the knowledge we gained from this channel on Power Platform, looking at the security aspects of Dataverse as well and maybe even how some more commonly used datasources can be connected.

At 3:40, when you talk about the 4 names you saw after selecting your file, based on the icons, i think 2 are the tabs and the other 2 are tables

This really is great and I will use it for sure. But I am also desperately trying to find a way to upload data into an existing Dataverse table straight through a Canvas app. I have users that wouldn't want, or be able to, go through the process of power query. Is there any way to build in an upload button inside the app? Not to attach a file, but actually upload rows of data to an existing table. I love your videos Daniel. Thank you.

Great video Daniel! Can you direct me to a video or article that details how to migrate SP list data with choice columns (including multi-select choice col types) to Dataverse? I have yet to find such a video. Perhaps you can make such a video next.

Daniel, thanks for introducing me this way to integrate the data into Dataverse. My question: if the Onedrive excel file is modified, will the data automatically refreshed into Dataverse table?

Yes, it works as a one-way sync from Excel to Dataverse. Name your Dataflow to something that names sense and keep an eye on it.

3:17 + Here you have TWO sheets and TWO tables. Top 2 icons - Devices2 and Manufacturers1 they are TABLES in your spreadsheet. 3rd and 4th icon - Device and Manufacturers they are SHEETS on your spreadsheet.
