If I was to import my metamask into Zerion, could I still use my metamask normally? I use it with EWT, and that never shows in zerion. I can't risk being cut off from my assets. And Zerion doesn't seem to track all the chains I have imported into my meta.

You can add EWT chain in Zerion, just follow the same settings from metamask
