Supplementary content I would like to see someone tackle is what to do with things that don't translate from Photoshop to AE. Examples like clipping masks on groups, and some adjustment layers like the excellent Gradient Map in Photoshop (where the only fix I've found is to export a LUT from Photoshop to apply to an adjustment layer in AE). This video will likely help a lot of newcomers, though, so thanks for the wealth of knowledge as always!

You should check your psd file is CMYK or RGB. If it's CMYK, change it to RGB and don't flatten.

I´m having an issue after I import a psd file, I can't change the layers time, it´s stuck in 2 frames, even if I put them into a composition and set the time to 30 seconds, the layers still stuck at 2 frames.

Hello ! ... can u please help! ...when I import a 1920 x 1080 PSD file on After Effects that has different layer sizes, After Effects only takes the size of the document and ignores the size of the different layers, so I end up with a lot of layers in After Effects of the same size, any solution? in an other version of after effects i was able to see different sizes for each layer

I’m having a major issue when importing footage from Photoshop. My layers are blurred a little bit in after affects . Even if I create a new project in Photoshop with the same pixel dimension size as after effects and also choosing 72 PPI, and also using RGB as recommended. My layers are still not crystal clear in after-effects. If I export the layers as PNG, they are crystal clear. If I export all the layers individually from Photoshop as files, and then import them into after effects they are also crystal clear.

Great 👏👏👏But when I import PSD layers (without merged or merging, I try both of them on after effect), the effects get darker. I try to render to see the result and the render is darker too. Why I can't see the photoshop original effect brightness on after effect? Is there any trick to solve it?
