I go for both show and defense though mostly defense. It's fun showing tho, especially getting the technique. Even if theres no records of it used as a weapon, look up nunchuck injuries, these are still dangerous not just to anyone near but yourself

Unfortunately I had to use in a street fight some 25-26 years ago against 3 and believe me the whole fight scene lasted less than a min or two……Nunchuck is good for show off but it’s a lot deadly weapon if used properly for self defense

Just busted a blood vessel on the back of my right hand from messing around going a little too crazy with my foam trucks. The bar on the end still hit my hand. Guess I got off easy as far as nunchaku go
