That is exactly how I learned to edit back when I was doing youtube as a 15 year old kid. And than when I started trying to improve everything at the same time I plateaued with my progress. This is what I had to hear brother thank you.

Thank you so much. Dude. Malice. I WISH I was watching this video ~3-4 months ago. I kid you not my "watch later" playlist is filled to the brim with AE/Premiere Pro tutorials for general stuff and other niche stuff. The crazy part is? all this IS just common sense, like I already know it in myself that I should just DO stuff and then when I encounter a problem, I go research about that and find ways to solve it, but the thing is, my brain tends to overcomplicate things and disregard that gut feel to just do stuff. So I just defaulted into that "A-Z" learning pattern which led me to waste more time than I would care to admit. But hearing it from someone who knows what they're talking about and just outright needing to hear it from someone else, it flips a switch inside my head. I don't know if you'll ever read this, but I hope one day you could offer a mentorship program or something, I just know that you have it in you to be a great master/teacher/leader.

What do you mean by editijg projects? Is it client work? Or you just praticing on a sample video? Or you watchijg videos in your niche and recreating the animations? Or is it something else?
@vfxmalice5 ай бұрын
All 3 that you mentioned and in that order. Client work is most effective for learning. Practice videos are less effective than client work. Recreating animations can be useful but only really once you've started the other two
