Wow Mark, thank you so much! This video in combination with your other “The #1 Tip to Improve Eye Sight Naturally “ video has led me to another realisation. I’ve been following your Basic and Advanced journey guides which have been great and slowly reducing my prescription, but it reached to a point a while back where my progress was plateauing. You spoke about awareness many times, and as a dancer myself I knew the importance of having a strong sense of body awareness in order to acquire skills much more efficiently and effectively. However, this whole time I think I didn’t have a good sense of that when it came to how my eyes are working internally. The section in the video about the cones and rods and how they are distributed led me to look into this more, and looking at diagrams of the eye anatomy has helped with my visualisation of what’s happening inside my eyes when I actually am aware of my peripheral vs I’m in tunnel vision mode. As a result of this, I suddenly have so much more control over clearing up my vision and can achieve this so much quicker as now I’m actually “feeling” what’s happening inside my eyes and how to use the system as a whole rather than straining only the central vision (your big muscle vs small muscles analogy was perfect for this). Prior to this, I was doing the rocking side by side technique pretty much blindly (no pun intended) waiting for it to eventually happen (which it did, but sometimes took quite long and was frustrating at times). This feels like a bit of an abstract concept at first, but once you get it, it makes so much sense! In the last couple of days since this realisation, I have progressed quite a bit already and I’m so excited to keep up this pace! Thanks again for these amazing videos😄😄

I have a theory why this helps so much is because it’s essentially teaching us how to focus our peripheral vision. Some how some way we forgot or our body forgot how to focus properly and it became a habit just like terrible posture. I’m noticing significant differences very fast it’s so strange. It feels like I’m using my peripheral vision mainly and my central only for small the things !

Have anyone been noticing any physical changes in the structure of your iris, or any other viewable parts of the eyes? I just have this feeling that when I practice in sunlight or darkness, things are reshaping and restructure. Listening to this video and trying to understand more about the cones and rods, it made me think; when the eyes are challenged, parts like the eyeball and iris might change shape and color. This is just a thought that are based on a feeling I been having looking into my own eyes through out the journey. Wanted to see if you Mark, or anyone else know anything about it? Huge thanks to you Mark for everything you do. Like everyone else here - my eyes are stronger and better thanks to you.

Viewing screens in the dark/night is a major issue for the following reasons (non exhaustive list from personal experience): - Tunnel vision - Poor sense of depth because the periphery is less noticeable - Screens are light sources which eyes are not used to looking at for long periods without breaks especially in the dark because eyes do best when looking at reflected light not sources of light - Disturbs sleep - Strained vision because the peripheral field of view is hard to notice because of the contrast (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) Great video Mark, very insightful.

Hey Mark, with your videos and free course, I'm seeing huge improvement over 2 weeks now that I started this journey. Huge thanks to your passion and effort. Past two days I have made most significant improvement which stayed longer so pushing myself further with ciliary release without blinking as long as I can and trying to keep the sharp vision as long as I can, but on top of stingy & watery eyes I've experienced some discomfort on the worst eye as if there's som dirt got into my eye. Have you experience anything similar when you were pushing hard in the beginning of your journey? I hope it's not cornea neuralgia I'm experiencing.
@MyopiaIsMental2 жыл бұрын
Congrats on the progress. Now you know your eyes work just fine, they just need time to re-learn to see clearly all the time! You've run into the same thing I experienced when I first started this journey. Your eyes aren't used to releasing the mass amount of tension at once. My eye got pretty sore and irritated a few times in the beginning. I was pushing myself to hard and to fast. So I'm sure you now you've got to take it easy. You're not going to conquer Rome in a day! I know it's super exciting to see changes so fast but now your limits and rest when needed.

Does diet have anything to do with myopia?
@MyopiaIsMental2 жыл бұрын
Yes! When you start treating myopia as a whole body problem and not just a problem with your eyes, diet can absolutely have an affect on myopia! For me personally I cut out a lot of sugar and carbs over 6 years ago. I mostly eat vegetables, meat and some fruit or rather natural food. I mostly eat fresh cooked food. I'm not 100% keto but I try my best to stay away from food that is highly processed. Many processed foods and sugar create excess inflammation as well as a host of other health issues. Once you start eating more balanced you won't just see an improvement in your vision but also in your overall health. In addition to the diet change, 4-5 times per week I only eat 1 meal per day! I eat maybe two meals per day on the weekend. HTH

@@MyopiaIsMental thanks, I’ll be looking forward to it! For me, when I eat bread and grains, my vision gets cloudy. I also get more eye floaters. I cut the heavy carbs out and my vision cleared up a bit, this is why I asked. Do you have any articles you could recommend on proper eating?
@MyopiaIsMental2 жыл бұрын
@@joshg8076 I don't have any specific articles because I read/watch a lot but don't always remember where I saw things but, my wife is gluten sensitive. She hasn't been officially diagnosed with celiac, but she cut gluten about the same time I cut back on carbs. We eat the same way now and it made a huge difference in her health and mine. Her sister is also gluten sensitive, but here's the interesting thing. She's been to Ireland, Germany and France in the past 5 years and never had issues with gluten! You have to ask the question why is this? Europe has a lot more regulations on how food is processed. The issues my wife's sister has in the States is non-existent across the pond. I do believe the quality of food and GMO has caused many health issues that are unknown to the masses! I can however refer to one source I specifically remember about floaters and one of the reasons I do OMAD (One meal a day) most of the week. Search for Dr. Eric Berg floaters, here on KZbin. He addressed the subject of floaters in a few videos, why they occur and how to reduce or get rid of them. I think you'll find it particularly interesting as well, especially since you notice the difference when you cut bread, grains and heavy carbs!
@sriramgovindarajan25852 жыл бұрын
Is this somehow related to central fixation taught by bates
@MyopiaIsMental2 жыл бұрын
Yes and no! Central Fixation is knowing that your central vision (fovea) is the sharpest part of your vision. However, I believe we are also supposed to use our peripheral vision at the same time as our central vision to understand our body position in relationship to other objects. Neurologically, central vision is processed in one part of the brain and peripheral vision is processed in another part of the brain. Both need to work together to have clear vision. It's much like if you want to pick up something your shoulder has to work with your elbow and hand in order for you to pick up an object. They are separate parts all working together as one!
