Hey! I'm not able to score more than 50 percentile in mock CATs, with just 35 days remaining I dont know what all to handle, I'm putting in hours and everything I can but its still not reaping any results. I'm just tensed bec I did honestly prep for this attempt and its all going downhill.

Revision. revision. Revision. stop mocks for a few days. revise. then do past year papers. 2020-22. then restart mocks

@@AditiSingh-xn3vhif you’re scoring 21 in quant, you’re around 94-95 percentile. Don’t rely on percentile they show after mocks. If only 10-20% most studious students are taking it, of course you’re going to be on the lower side. Remember mocks are given by few thousand people whilst 3lakh students have registered for CAT. 35-37 in quant would be more than 99 percentile based on data we have from last year.

Also keep in mind that mocks are way harder than CAT. So don’t stress yourself too much, do revision and good luck👍🏽

True as a non engineer almost 90% of my preparation goes into syllabus completion. Completion meaning just arithmetic +algebra + geometry. But love your advice and your telegram group also helped a lot in improving my percentile

Hi, I'm facing a peculiar problem. I've been through arithmetic once and 50 percent of algebra and geomerey is done. I have exposed myself all to the topics and questions by using YT videos. When I'm trying to do mod-diff ques of arithmetic, i dont get 60-70 percent of them right. I doubt if I'm grasping everything correctly. I'm in the process of completing rest of algebra and geometry right now. 1) How do I get myself to the point where i can 70-80 percent of the ques correct (for the topics I've been through) 2) While trying to strengthen areas should i do mixed ques of arithmetic or go topic by topic? Please help me out. And thanks for looking out for us :)

Force fit the answer into the main passage and see what makes most sense. If I were to take cat again, I wouldn't attempt a question where I came down to 2 options only. huge tendency to get it wrong

giving cat was my last minute decision and till now I have done, basics of algebra, arithmetic and some videos of geometry, maybe by tomorrow I'll finish leftover videos and now I am focusing more on question solving videos (pyq's and random questions.) so that I can build atleast some level of question solving thingy. VARC is good (I can understand and do some questions) but lrdi is not doing good, it's on ventilator right now. OfCourse I can't dream of IIM this year, but I just need a decent college and maybe around 80 percentile which is already sounding impossible to me but anyways..... So anymore tips which can save me at this point..... Ps. I think I'm too early, I should've come here after exam was over.

Hahaha definitely too early. At this point all I can suggest is that you let your natural aptitude out for this exam. Let it take over the attempt. Also fill up SNAP/XAT etc forms which gives you some more time to prepare

Hey there, you need to solve around 13-14 questions only, so as to get a sum of 40 marks. Of course accuracy plays a vital role.

I mentioned 24 sums, not 33. And I said ENGINEERS attempted more than 20 so as non engineers we have to come as close as possible and at the very least to do 40 marks. Suggest that you go through the video again

Hi, I am seeking out for guidance here. I am stuck with my mock scores around 60-70 with potential score being 100+. I have tried to analyse my sectional attempts but it seems like I am doing well in VARC, but LRDI and quant gets affected each time. Sometimes I score well in quant, sometimes in LRDI, but not consistent at all. Having just one month left, I am really unsure what to do. In quant as well, most of the questions seem doable but when I start attempting them, I get confused or forget the next step. Can you please help out in how to plan the next one month to cover the gaps?

So firstly please relax! My suggestion would be to take a break from mocks and only solve Past Year Papers as mocks. To build consistency: Solve sectionals everyday with a timer. In fact try to solve in 30 minutes instead of 40 to increase your stress level

Don't worry for starters! Focus on PYPs and then do mocks after a short break. When you solve the previous year papers you will see they are easier than your mocks

Possibly the difference in level of difficulty, burnout, silly mistakes, wrong question selection, time management etc. You'll have to analyse to understand this to understand. Focus on what you know and can do well. Whatever you do, maintain accuracy instead of getting things wrong in a hurry

Don't quit your internship just now. Make sure that your internship is relevant to the degree you have in your graduation and keep studying side by side. You can quit your internship once you're close enough to your attempt, which could be around July - August

Bro peace out, if u are deciding to take a break and study whole day for a competitive exam then you shouldn't be writing CAT, u should be aiming UPSC Trust me CAT is not at all a tough exam, you can do little amount of preparation everyday and by the time of Aug you can increase the preparation intensity
