There might be something in this in terms of the red in question being both the flourescent colour of Chlorophyll and the native colour of haemoglobin - which also means that in most of the body it won't penetrate far - but this changes in the eye for transparency reasons

New video already. Nice!

Interesting video! I wonder what would happen if I - as a non color deficient - would use such a red light therapy and what I'd see then. Maybe smething new, maybe nothing new.

Assuming you are 40+, you'll probably get an effect, but the chances you'd even notice the change are very slim.

I wonder if one with a color vision deficiency could employ a similar technique and do asymmetrical treatments to the left and right eyes, and then be able to distinguish colors of confusion through the binocular effect.

Hiya, interesting question. There is definitely methods that take advantage of binocular effect. Chromagen and X-chrom lenses are just red contacts you put on one eye. The eyes therefore see a very different Chromatic image and your mind can start to adapt to this new binocular effect to determine some colors. Unfortunately, this means you kinda lose your depth perception and some visual acuity, etc. This treatment that would give one eye a bit of better contrast sensitivity wouldn't have the same effect, because both eyes are still perceiving the same light and the same colors. How your brain joins the signals from both eyes is so crazy already for normal eyes... when the two eyes start to have significantly different capabilities, they can combine in weird ways. Some individuals with unilateral colorblindness that only effects on eye, generally have *near* full color vision when using both eyes.

How interesting! I knew red right was good for your skin and body already.

I couldn't keep episode 21 because of a copyright claim I couldn't get around. I uploaded elsewhere, you can see here: www.reddit.com/r/ColorBlind/comments/rp0rv4/an_enchroma_unboxing_parody/
