I love how your videos are so short and don’t just carry on but they’re also jam packed with everything to know!!

Its incredible how such a small change can make such a huge difference. I'm convinced my horse gets what I'm counting and she alters her stride to keep with me! (Or that's what I tell myself 😂). Thanks for the tips.

Hi Hannah, well if you watch Dressage to music, you see horses step in the rhythm of the beat. It's the same when they hear you count. Thanks for the comment

I'm a riding instructor and I tell this to my riders every single jumping lesson. This really helps with riders who go before the horse or get left behind also

Hi Alexa, Yes riders need to feel the rhythm, to listen to the canter and then their feel for the distance improves greatly Kirstin

I suck at this because I’m visually impaired and my glasses make everything look further than it actually is. It’s a scary time out there lol.

Oh heck that is hard but having a feel for the rhythm is your saviour , listen instead of looking for the distance . Keep a really adjustable stride, work on it all the time and lots of bounces, high armed X to keep your horse sharp so if your a bit deeper than expected he is adjustable and sharp
Comfortable 🤣 #comedy #funny
