Hello Ben and everyone a Tread. I am a High School Jr PO. Been watching all your videos. Love the deGrom breakdown and arm path/layback videos. Awesome stuff. Learning a ton and helping me a lot! Could you do a video on finger angle/placement/position on ball at hand break? I’m finding that when my fingers are on top of the ball at break (12 o’clock) and I hold that positioning into arm path I’m able to get into a better scap load (as it seems to have an impact on my elbow positioning in my forearm to humerus connection) then when I used to hand break with my fingers at 2 o’clock which then my arm path was longer and I led into arm action a bit more with the hand it seemed.Thank You! I was more of a sinking fastball guy that could get ride on it. I was a splitter sinker guy.

Question about lifting and baseball. How much weight should you be lifting for baseball, is there a certain point where adding more weight won’t improve performance?

Check out The 52-Week Baseball Workout by Gene Coleman. Lifting is something to do a lot during the off season to gain muscle, but in any case is only one element in a integrated baseball strength and conditioning program. By earl;y March, you should begin to taper off of heavy weights and focus more on functional baseball exercises to get ready for the season, and only do light weights through the season to maintain strength and not lose muscle during the Dog Days of August.

I dont understand why coaches dont understand how to increase pitching velocity. It only exist 2 ways to increase pitching velocity. If you dont know what they are then you shouldnt be talking about increasing speed because you just dont understand.
