I would feel guilty always benefiting from your valuable hints without being accountable a bit from my side as well. Thank you dear Lynden!

Hi Lynden, thank you so much for your videos, they are always very clear and concise. I just wanted to comment on this one. My comment is very much a reflection of the level of my knowledge and experience, which I don't consider to be very advanced. I am at a stage where I am still getting the Major scales under my fingers. I tried your method to get to the Blues scale in a couple of keys, and I admit I wasn't writing it on paper, but attempting to do it in my head. My first struggle was working out the note to start the major scale on for the needed Blues scale (one whole tone lower), after that making myself familiar with that major scale. Next problem, shifting the starting point of the scale to the 2nd note (dorian mode), not too hard, but then making that my reference to create chord tones. I found it much easier to start with the major scale of the desired blues scale, pick out 1 b3 4 5 b7 for the minor pentatonic and add b5 for the blues scale. I sometimes think of the blues scale as 1 b3 b5 b7, with the 4 and the 5. Thanks again for the great tutorials, I love them. Frank (from Australia)

My interest issue of improvising is how to create melody up instantaneously from the string of musical notes we have. I have tried to write down the notes and play with those notes, but it did not sound nice at all. So how to create melody, please 🙏
