It looks like you almost want to roll your support hand thumb over the slide, but then pull it in at the last second at 2:19. That will get your support hand high enough. Thanks for sharing.

You want that "support" hand that we call the "control" hand as high as possible, without interfering with the action of the slide. That will minimize the leverage that the gun has over the shooter - a core principle of the grip!

I even go so far as to place my finger on the front of the trigger guard. This works great if you can keep yourself from applying lateral(side to side) pressure to the gun. I press the gun rearward, with that finger, into my strong hand. This allows my support hand to end up higher on the gun, and more forward on the gun, adding the most control over muzzle flip as humanly possible. I still don't understand why instructors say this is a no-no. It works GREAT for me. To each his own...

It works really good with experienced shooters and big hands. There is a potential problem with not so experienced shooters to a cause lateral disturbance with that finger.

That was my main problem my support hand contact on the gun . I’ll have a proper grip on the gun but not have that skin on skin contact and my shots will go left as if I’m shooting with my right hand only

Older video, hope I get a response :) Is support hand pressure and support hand palm going into the frame? Left to right Or is the pressure going forward towards the muzzle? I do find forward pressure causes slipping

The most crucial part - and the foundation of your grip - is connecting the fingers to create ample friction on the front strap. Aim to bring the fingertips of your support hand (what we call the "control hand") close to the knuckles of your shooting hand, forming a hinge-like effect, similar to a nutcracker, at the front of the grip. Then, close the heels of your palms at the back, applying firm, sideways pressure, heel against heel. For more details, check out the following video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYfRcqWlmZ10msk
