In this WordPress tutorial, we will show you how to increase the PHP memory limit in WordPress by editing the WP-config file, without using FTP or cPanel.
If you check the site health in your dashboard, you can find the current PHP memory limit. To change this, access your website files using the File Manager plugin and paste the provided code to the wp-config.php file above "That's all, stop editing!"
You can confirm the increased PHP memory limit by going to Tools - Site Health - Info - Server. Follow these easy steps to increase the PHP limit of your website. However, if you are not able to increase the PHP limit by adding codes to the wp-config file, kindly ask your hosting provider to do so. Thank you very much.

This broke my wordpress. it says "Invalid backend response. Error occurred on the server side. HTTP error 500 There are 1 more errors." my wordpress is all blank saying this page isn't working.

Sorry to hear about the issue you're experiencing. It could possibly happen if there was an error while copying the code or if your server doesn't allow edits. To revert back, please access your website using cPanel or FTP and remove the codes you have added. Alternatively, you can contact your hosting provider to revert back the changes. Thank you.

Did you manage to see the wp-config.php file by accessing it through cPanel? (You'd need to go to File Manager > Public_Html). If you cannot wp-config.php, it might mean that the host doesn't allow you to do so. You can try using the File Manager plugin, as shown in the video. Thanks
