Wonderful ideas! However, please if I want to add coloring pages and other activity pages to my story book, wouldnt the glossy texture of the colored print affect it?

Hi Heather - Thank you for sharing great ideas. I have a couple of questions regarding my Children's Picture Book. I used Procreate to create and publish it in paperback and ebook formats on Amazon/KDP. Can I also use the same format to publish it as a hardcover book on IngramSpark? Do I need to convert the format from Procreate to another software? Does the hard cover version have to be same size? Additionally, I'm considering making some changes to the front cover. Is it possible to add more color to the front cover for the hardcover version to make it more visually appealing? I understand that the paperback and hardcover versions may differ slightly. Thank you for your assistance.

Hi Gail, thanks for your great questions! You can use the same PDF for your inside pages of your hardcover book in IngramSpark - BUT, one caveat is that IS is a lot pickier when it comes to color mode. It needs to be a generic CMYK profile. It's on my list to make a video on how to convert your PDF to the proper color mode for IS. As far as size/colors/etc - it can be different! It will have its own ISBN so it really is its own book. So yes you can make it a different size etc. For the cover, hardcover covers are a bit more complicated than paperback. You actually need to download a template from IS to use for your hardcover cover. The catch is, you can't download it until you have an ISBN for your book. So you'll need to either get the free one from IS or purchase one (whichever you are doing) so that you can download the template. I hope that helps! Let me know if I missed anything.

Hi! You need to have your final file as a flattened PDF. I have tons of tutorials to show you how to save out your final files. What program are you using to add your text?

@@mb24_24 Canva would definitely be better, creating text in procreate is a major pain! Save out your image from Procreate as PNGs (unless you illustrated in CMYK, then do jpg) and here are my tutorials which show you how to drop them into the page and add text, how to do your cover, etc!
