I've managed to be indexed by google but strangely when I search on google I have two indexes with the same url but with different titles and descriptions. In theory that's true, but it will take a long time before Google has indexed everything. If you want to speed up the process, submitting your pages is the way to go.

Then you need to add your website as a property first before you are able to index your link. See 1:12

Hi Alin, you only have to add your site once. Once you have added your sitemap, Google will scroll your site automatically every few days. However, if you'd like to speed up the process and have your page indexed fast, it's recommended to scan your new URL manually in Google Search.

If you mean subdomains yes. So for example if you have site1.yourdomainname.com and site2.yourdomainname.com you need to let Google know that you have those.
