if we write same function name in our inherited controller as per base module then shop function stops working in Website_sale

No in the video itself you can see both the functions are working. We have to not rewritten the existing function. We have inherited it using super. Please see the video at 5:50 minute and then in the log you can see both the print statements are coming from original and from inherited function.
