"Maybe not always letting your heroes discourage you --" wonderfully provoking thought from JMA.

Mara, you know your stuff. Seeing All's inks on Frazetta is a joyous treat! I can see how Mark Schultz got his chops.

Hi, guys. Love this how to ink series, and wish you could continue with these videos. I would appreciate if you did a video focused on more recent artists too, like Fábio Moon, Craig Thompson, Blutch, Paul Pope, Chris Samnee... I think these guys are some of the most prominent inkers nowadays.

So, did they reference most of the drawings ? It looks like it. I love the cinematic look tho. I would love to know more about their process. Looks like light boxing technique to me

He used ref quite a lot , so his underdrawing allready sold it..the ink could therefore be tight, loose, or both & still read and work great ! !

I think the last EC page is Williamson pencils and inks, with Frazetta inks on the woman's face, and her hair in panels 1, 2, 3 and 6, and a few of the dude's faces. I don't know of any circumstances of Al inking Frank, but I could be completely wrong. Williamson was a brilliant artist, but I can understand experiencing a lack of confidence at this stage of his career, with Woody, Frazetta and Foster doing peak work.

I couldn't agree more. The series were very enlightening. Alexandre, tu é desenhista? Se for, podemos trocar e-mails e informações. Estou precisando de mais dicas na arte do preto-e-branco, hehe.
