Thanks for the video, very helpful. I just have another question. When you dragged your video into the canva in 1:30 it fit perfectly. I tried to replicate it but I had to "detach it from the background" because some parts of my video get cut. Either it is too large or too small. What size should I record my video so that it fits okay when setting the video as background? In particular I had problems with a Canva presentation that I did using "Present and record."

It depends on the size of your Canva Project. If you use the classic video format, that will be 1920 x 1080px. So try to record your video in these dimensions, or at least the 16:9 aspect ratio.

This is the first of your videos that I've seen and you explained it so well that even a dummy like me understood. I need the step-by-step method. The only problem I run into is version updates and when a software makes drastic changes like Microsoft Word. But that's not your problem. Hi Chris, Have you tried downloading the video to see if the problem is still there? It has happened to me that the preview of the video sometimes gets glitchy but when I download it, it looks great. Also, I'd suggest to make sure your video is fully uploaded to canva before starting the editing process.

Hi! KZbin allows you to upload up to 3 different thumbnails for your videos, then it also helps you A/B test them and will pick the most effective on for you. That's something you can set up when you upload your videos. And to your 2nd Q: it's not possible to insert new footage in the middle of an already uploaded video. Text can be inserted in the top part of your video via the "cards".

Hey, great tutorial! I was wondering if you'd had any issues with the video being weird between splits? When my video goes from one page to the next it jumps like I cropped out a second of video but I just split it as is. I'm wondering if I did something wrong? Thanks if you ever see this!

Yes, we've noticed that too. It's not cropped, but the rendering when playing back your video on the timeline is not great. This is something I hope Canva will fix 🤞

Hey Jonalyn, you can add the photo to a new page and then move that page at the beginning of the video. You can then adjust the timing of the photo to your linking. Hope this helps :)
