For example an invoice that is filled out on sheet one then it is posted as a new line as an invoice record on sheet 2....Also sends to the printer. Will keep watching but not my intended result.

Super helpful videos but one quick question that might be confusing. Is there a way to take the fillable form data auto-populate a larger excel spreadsheet. For example, I'd want to send out this form to a handful of people and want to have the responses organized into one large excel spreadsheet. So is there a way to have the forms auto-populate a larger data table without having to individually copy all of the information into my larger dataset? If this isn't feasible with this method is there a different way you suggest in making an excel spreadsheet that looks nice and is easily fillable by multiple people without them messing around with the sheet by creating new columns or changing the size of columns?

submit button form to prepopulate excel file data 7:15 Thank you for these videos. I'm trying to work out how I can collect the data from the submitted forms with the submit button into a spreadsheet. I have managed to do one line, but I cannot work out how to get the next line, it just writes over itself. I then want the next line and so on to prepopulate when lots of people will be using the form . I want the data to go to the next line after each submit button is selected. Does that make sense ? So when I select the Submit button, it overwrites the previous submission populated row in excel table instead of going to the next line automatically. Many thanks for your help - have been following for a while. You explain things beautifully.

This is great! Thank-you. If I want to be the one who fills the form and sends it to the same recipient daily, (like an order form) can the “submit” button be made to disappear when the recipient opens it? Hopefully the question makes sense.
@SharonSmith11 ай бұрын
Hello! If you are familiar and comfortable with VBA, there is a way you can set this up. You will have to save the file as macro-enabled. Here is some additional information: Yes, it is possible to design the form in Excel such that the "Submit" button disappears after the recipient opens it. This functionality can be achieved through VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) code. Here's a basic outline of how you could implement this: Create a Macro to Hide the Submit Button: You can create a VBA macro that hides the "Submit" button when the recipient opens the Excel file. Trigger the Macro on Workbook Open: You'll need to set up an event handler in VBA that triggers the macro to hide the button when the workbook is opened. Lock the Macro: To prevent the recipient from viewing or editing the VBA code, you can lock the VBA project with a password. Here's a simplified example of how you might write the VBA code: Private Sub Workbook_Open() ' This macro hides the submit button when the workbook is opened Dim btn As Shape On Error Resume Next ' If the button is not found, ignore the error Set btn = Me.Shapes("SubmitButton") ' Change "SubmitButton" to the name of your submit button On Error GoTo 0 ' Reset error handling If Not btn Is Nothing Then btn.Visible = False ' Hide the button End If End Sub To implement this: - Press Alt + F11 to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor. - In the VBA editor, find your Excel file ("VBAProject (YourFileName.xlsm)") in the Project Explorer. - Double-click "ThisWorkbook" to open the code window. - Paste the code provided above into the code window. - Replace "SubmitButton" with the name of your actual submit button. Remember to save your Excel file as a macro-enabled workbook (*.xlsm) to retain the VBA code. Once implemented, when the recipient opens the Excel file, the "Submit" button should automatically disappear, making it a one-time use form for submission. Ensure that the recipient does not have access to the VBA code, or consider locking the VBA project with a password to prevent unauthorized access. Test thoroughly! Hope this helps! Thanks for watching my videos!

I had the same problem. I found that you have to have the user save the file first locally, and then they can click submit. Is there a way have the submissions populate into an Excel spreadsheet once the user hits submit? How would you recommend we do this? It just doesn't do me a lot of good to collect the data without this option. Also, for users who do not have Excel, if I convert this into a PDF file, will my options (down arrow items) still work, and how do I get all of that info into an excel spreadsheet.
